Acceptance of terms

By adding, configuring, accessing, or using Sidelight, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Sidelight and remove it from any server you administer.

What Sidelight provides

Sidelight provides Discord community management and engagement features, including moderation support, administrative logging, role and member management, onboarding support, and interactive community features.

Server administrator responsibility

Server administrators are responsible for deciding whether to add Sidelight to a server, configuring enabled features appropriately, informing members where required, and using the bot in a lawful and responsible way for their community.

Discord rules

Users and server administrators must follow the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Community Guidelines, and any other applicable Discord rules when using Sidelight.

Prohibited misuse

You must not misuse Sidelight. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Abuse, harassment, spam, or harmful behaviour.
• Attempts to exploit, disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the bot.
• Attempts to bypass moderation, security, rate limits, or access controls.
• Using Sidelight in a way that violates Discord rules or applicable law.

Changes and availability

Sidelight may be changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time. Features may change as the service is improved or maintained. Sidelight is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every server setup.

Limitation of liability

Sidelight is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sidelight and its maintainers are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from use of the service, inability to use the service, moderation decisions, configuration choices, or Discord platform changes.

Relationship with Discord

Sidelight is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Discord Inc. Discord is a third-party platform with its own terms, policies, and availability.
